FIELD: separating materials. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has semi-penetrable diaphragms arranged inside the housing, substrates and inserts interposed between the diaphragms, and connecting pipes for discharging permeate. The housing is provided with the converging pipe for supplying and diverging pipe for discharging a liquid to be treated. The inner space of the housing is separated into sections by baffles interconnected in pair through planks and provided with alternative projections and hollows. The sections are provided with four inserts interconnected in pairs through planks and made up as ridges. The projections of the ridges are received in the hollows of the baffles. The end projections of the inserts of each section are mounted with a spaced relation to the housing wall or end projections of the inserts of adjacent sections. The diaphragms are made up as belts arranged in the sections on the sides of the projections and hollows of the baffles and locked from one side by way of bearing rods received in the hollows of the baffles and tightened in pair via cross-pieces and from the other side by way of bearing rods mounted on the projections of the baffles. The projections of the ridges press the edge of the diaphragm to the sides of the baffles and are provided with the longitudinal slots for supplying and discharging the liquid to be treated.
