FIELD: ore flotation. SUBSTANCE: method involves crushing ore, its separating to obtain forsterite concentrate. The crushed ore is cleared of slime and subjected to flotation with fat acid collecting agent, sulfite and alcohol distillery slop are used as depressing agent. Flotation is carried out with additionally added 1-oxyalkylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acids or alkylbenzosulfonate or alkylhydroxamic acids. Flotation foam product is discharged as forsterite concentrate. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of ore separation. 1 tbl
