FIELD: mining industry; ore dressing practice; concentration of zirconium-containing minerals. SUBSTANCE: crude gravity baddeleyite concentrate is first subjected to classification treatment and opposite flotation of baddeleyite, followed by subjecting concentrate to two-step wet magnetic separation in low-intensity (first step) and high-intensity (second step) magnetic fields. Weakly magnetic product resulting from wet separation in high-intensity magnetic field is subjected to grinding, followed by additional wet separation in high-intensity magnetic field to finally obtain non-magnetic product in the form of finished baddeleyite concentrate. After drying , non-magnetic product is directed to triboelectric separation treatment to finally produce high-quality (more than 98% zirconium dioxide) baddeleyite concentrate. EFFECT: higher quality product from low- and off-grade zirconium-containing materials. 3 cl, 5 dwg, 6 tbl
