FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: switch-free drill chuck has case 1, and cylindrical and conical bushings 2 and 3 connected together by thread. Wedge-shaped chuck jaws 5 are brought into contact with conical bushing 3. The jaws are mounted in grooves of separator 6 and head part of screw 7, which is connected with the case by left thread. The left thread provides capability of axial displacement of screw with jaws. Jaws 5 have arms, made in form of cylindrical pins, disposed in holes, which are made in the jaws in perpendicular to their side surfaces and intended for interaction with wall of groove in separator 6. Construction of the chuck permits to simplify making of jaws and to improve accuracy of centering at grabbing. EFFECT: simplified design; improved efficiency of operation. 3 dwg
