FIELD: metal working processes and apparatuses, additional tools to metal cutting machines.

SUBSTANCE: chuck is designed for fastening axial tool or part and it includes cylindrical body, clamping cams with outer cone surface portions engaged with clamping nut, means for moving each cam in direction of unclamping. In order to improve accuracy and reliability of fastening, clamping cams are mounted with possibility of engaging to inner cone surface of opening formed in cylindrical body; they are coupled with clamping nut through cylindrical stems and forced by means of springy washer in the form of disc spring with upper slits for passing said cylindrical stems. Means for unclamping cams are in the form of rubber gaskets. In order to control clamping effort, chuck may be provided with counter-nut with left-hand thread. On chuck body two outer different-direction threads are formed.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of fastening by means of such chuck.
