EMERGENCY VENT HATCH ON ROOF OF VEHICLE BODY Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: transport; vent hatches with hinged flaps. SUBSTANCE: emergency vent hatch has flap 5 installed in hatch aperture and flap opening mechanisms with spring-loaded sliders 11 and 12 arranged in tubular brackets 9 and hinge-connected by tie-rods 13 and 14 with body roof and locking arrangements which can be closed and opened both from inside and outside the body. Tie-rods 13 and 14 have hinge joints 15 and 16 installed in slots of forked levers 19 and 20 for getting out. Locking arrangement is made in form of L-shaped bell crank with catch on one end engaging with ratchet. Axle of L-shaped bell crank is fixed in base 8 and is arranged between catch and point of application of forked rod of locking arrangement inner drive. Made on ends of rod forks are holes to receive locking pin. Made on opposite end of rod is thread to connect handwheel. Aperture 3 is closed from inside by casing with hole to pass rod. Outer drive has spring-loaded rod engaging with end of L-shaped bell crank. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability. 3 cl, 5 dwg
