AUTOMOBILE ROOF HATCH COVER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle roof emergency and vent hatch cover. SUBSTANCE: automobile has hatch cover 1 installed in hatch opening 2 enclosed by frame 3, two lift adjusters of front and rear edges of hatch cover, each including lever system coupled with drive and with hatch cover. Hatch cover 1 has two hand rails 4 arranged square to front and rear edges of hatch cover and two strips 5 and 6 rigidly secured on frame 3 of hatch opening in parallel with front and rear edges. Lift adjuster of front and rear edges has worm reduction gear with torsion shaft 8 with fitted-on worm wheel 10. Housing 11 of worm reduction gear of front edge lift adjuster is made in form of forked lever 12 whose ends are hinge mounted on front strip 5, and housing 11 of worm reduction gear of rear edge lift adjuster is made in form of two-sided forked lever 16 whose ends at one side are hinge secured on rear strip 6 and ends 24 of other side of forked lever 16 are installed for movement in slots made in hand rails 4. Torsion shafts 8 of reduction gears are made in form of forked levers 28 hinge connected to hand rails 4. Rear edge lift adjuster has hatch emergency opening mechanism in form of pair of hooks 21 hinge mounted on axle 18 of rear strip 6 for engagement with pair of hook bends made on brackets 7 of rear strip 6.
