FIELD: continuous horizontal casting of ferrous and nonferrous metals in foundry on casting lines for continuous casting of specific profile billets. SUBSTANCE: crystallizer has water-cooled shell and graphite inserts with channels shaped in accordance with profile of billets to be cast. Crystallizer passes are positioned in two horizontal planes with individual cooling of each graphite insert in common cooling shell. Graphite inserts are arranged so that horizontal projection of a bundle of drawn billets defines common plane without gaps and overlap of projections of each billet.
