FIELD: metallurgy, namely continuous horizontal casting of ingots of copper and its alloys. SUBSTANCE: multistrand mold is joined with metal receptacle and it has water-cooled metallic housing and non-cooled graphite shaft portion. Both portions of mold are heat insulated one from another by means of gasket and they are joined by thin-wall graphite sleeves with cone outer surface flared towards cooled portion of mold. In zone of ingot removal from graphite sleeves, mold is provided with system for secondary liquid cooling of ingot; said system forces outer surface of graphite sleeves to metallic housing.
