FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method provides for two cold rollings with decarbonizing annealing between them and high-temperature annealing. Steel, that has following concentration of components, mass carbon 0.025 0.060; silicon 2.80 3.30; aluminum 0.008 - 0.030; titanium 0.003 0.012; copper 0.10 0.60; nitrogen 0.004 0.012; iron balance, is subjected to decarbonizing annealing under temperature of 750 900 C in continuous furnace, that provides ratio of time period of strip being in heating chambers and holding of 0.18 0.22 with total duration of 6 9 minutes. Used by the method combination of steel chemical composition, that provides delay of gathering recrystallization, with modes of decarbonizing annealing, leading to minimum development of gathering recrystallization, allows to improve magnetic properties of the steel. EFFECT: method allows to produce electrotechnical anisotropic steel with improved magnetic properties. 2 tbl
