FIELD: preparation of raw material for blast furnace process. SUBSTANCE: method is based on observing the correspondence of the chemical composition of small fractions of pelleted agglomerate charge to its heat treatment conditions in the layer. The description submits numerical values of main charge parameters such as relations CaO/SiO2, FeO/Fetotal, Al2O3/SiO2 and MgO/SiO2 and the corresponding parameters of agglomeration process required for production of agglomerated cake on strong ferritic or silicate binders at minimum expenditures of fuel and power and with observance of ecological requirements. EFFECT: production of high quality strong fluxed agglomerate of a preset composition from charges composed of various iron-ore materials in any combinations thereof. 1 tbl
