FIELD: thermal and chemical thermal treatment of metals in metallurgy and mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gas-air mixture with air consumption factor of α 0.3 - 0.4 is fed in filled with catalyst and placed in furnace retort. Produced in the case reaction is going with formation of heat up to 900 1050 C and production of gas, that is fed in working space of furnace through located in it spraying apparatus, mixing in it with hydrocarbon addition, introduced in it in amount of 10 50 from amount of introduced in retort gas, that allows to produce endogas with a 0.25 0.3. Apparatus produced endogas is fed to treated pieces. EFFECT: increased quality of pieces treatment. 2 cl, 1 dwg
