FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: sowing apparatus comprises a casing, and a grain duct. Secured on a shaft in the casing is a disc to which is screwed concentrically a circular drum with tubular grips having hold-downs inside which are moved by a cam and springs. A slide installed in the seed discharge zone consists of a movable portion and a stationary one. Tubular grips have a variable-width mouth. Rotating together with the drum, the tubular grips pick up the seeds and, pressing them against the drum walls, carry them to the discharge zone. Running over the cam, the hold-down is released so that the seeds moving at a minimum initial speed fall over the slide on the furrow bottom. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg
