FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves comparing mismatch signal between the arterial blood pressure to be measured and compensating external pressure with external pressure control signal to achieve their equality during a part of periodically repeating time interval. The so adjusted signal is stored in memory and subtracted from the value of the mismatch signal during the rest part of periodically repeating time interval. The device has summer, arterial volume pulsation pickup, mismatch signal amplifier, reversed converter, recording or measuring unit connected in series and correction timer which input is connected to amplifier output, control input is connected to correction timer output, its output is connected to summer input, the second input of which is connected to arterial volume pulsation pickup output, and its output is connected to the amplifier input.
