FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves compressing artery by applying compensating pressure through soft tissue bulk. The compensating pressure magnitude is linearly increased from zero value in time. The moment the compensating pressure becomes equal to diastolic pressure value is to be fixed. N-th pulse oscillation amplitude is recorded after the fixed moment and compensating pressures difference corresponding to diastolic pressure fixation moment and pulse oscillation amplitude fixation moment. Artery compression is stopped at the moment the current pulse oscillation amplitude value becomes lower than the recorded one. Systolic pressure is calculated as sum of recorded compensating pressure difference and compensating pressure at given time moment.
EFFECT: high processing speed; reduced negative influence over measurement accuracy caused by long time artery compression.
