FIELD: rolled stock production. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a row of chambers, arranged across a strip to be rolled and connected through force measuring pickups with a common rigid frame. The rigid frame is being moved with use of a drive unit for vertical motion. The chambers, being in the form of parallelepipeds, have a branch pipe for water on one of their faces. Rectangular lifting platforms are secured to end surfaces of the chambers, turned to the strip. The platforms have several nozzles, separated from adjacent ones by beads. Effective cross section areas of nozzles of terminal chambers, that may be in contact with lateral edges of the strip, lower from previous nozzle to next one along a length direction of these chambers to a side from a central axis towards a periphery. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of tension monitoring with use of such apparatus. 1 cl, 3 dwg
