FIELD: welding production. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a power source, a unit for feeding orders and an actuating unit, having a ballast rheostat with switching members. Controlling of current value is being provided according to a flow through capacity of an electrolyte in a reservoir, into which electrodes are immersed. The electrodes are connected with the above mentioned switching members, and one electrode is connected with a welding cable. The current value is being controlled according to surface area of the electrodes and concentration of a solution. The ballast rheostat may be assembled by a set of separate reservoirs with electrodes. EFFECT: enlarged using range of the apparatus. 3 cl, 1 dwg
