FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: examples of mated surfaces are the exterior surface of the dry sleeve with the hole surface of the cylinder block or the jacket of the cylinder of the internal combustion engine. During the processing of the mated surfaces the abrasive tool is taken. The relative displacement is given to the article and the tool until, at least on the surface, a relief is obtained representing itself a combination of deep notches and flat sections with microirregularities forming bearing surfaces. The summary area of flat sections makes up 30-80% of the aggregate area in the cross-section of 0.8-1.2 micrometer from the line of the maximum protuberance of the microirregularities. Then the irregularities obtained on the processed surface are filled with substance discharging the heat by means of rubbing the surface with slugs containing the mentioned substance. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture. 1 dwg
