FIELD: knitted fabric manufacture. SUBSTANCE: at looping the following operations are carried out in succession: enclosure, laying, cross-knitting, removal, pressing, connection, releasing, forming, drawing-off so that the cross-knitting process is accomplished in parallel with execution of the pressing, removal and application operations. Cross-knitting is interrupted at the instant of connection of bent thread to the old loop. EFFECT: manufacture of rare knitted fabric with a wide range of sizes and elasticity to obtain various assortment of products, in particular, to manufacture hosiery of large sizes, or packing bags of high capacity. 2 cl, 8 dwg
