WORKING EQUIPMENT FOR EXCAVATION OF PITS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: earth-moving equipment. SUBSTANCE: working equipment for excavation of pits includes load-carrying frame suspended from base machine of continuous action. Installed successively on load-carrying frame from its end are three working members: thrower, side blade sections and post ripper. Main function is fulfilled by blades which are suspended from frame by hinges and controlled by hydraulic cylinders. Blades are furnished with cutting located in their plane and over their entire length. Cutting disks are, mainly, of oval shape and installed in alternate antiphase up to level of blade cutters and with overlapping worked adjacent ground zones. All disks are secured to shafts passing through blades and interconnected by means of intermediate gear wheels of reducing gears and their motors. Extreme parts of end disks of both blades adjacent to frame and thrower are naked, i.e. deprived of all other blade members due to which and also to their hollowness between cutting members and their framing contour, these disks intensify the grinding process of ground fed to central zone and pushing the crushed ground by means of machine friction force to thrower. Supply of ground to central zone is intensified by all other blade disks which rotating in one direction and alternately transmitting cut ground to one another, thus imparting in this way the dynamic nature to ground excavation. In this case, the minimal role is played by post working member in static rippling, which is increased in decreased reach of blade sections, i.e. the width of excavated pit.
