FIELD: cutting of metals. SUBSTANCE: cutting torch comprises a head with external and internal cutting tips and an evaporating chamber therebetween. Heating nozzle for heating the evaporating chamber is mounted coaxially with external tip and has a circular chamber open at the side of the working end of external tip. Heating oxygen enters the mixing chamber through a jet. Liquid fuel also enters the same chamber through a channel. The distance from the jet to the channel is not less than 40 diameters of mixing chamber. The fuel-oxygen mixture flows through channel in the head into the mixing chamber. Part of mixture escapes into the gap between tips while another part flows through channels in the body of the external tip into the circular chamber and escapes outside through the heating nozzle. The channels may be of a stepped construction with the part of channel of a smaller hydraulic diameter located at the side of the evaporating chamber. The channels may be provided with permeable inserts. The relation of mixing chamber areas and cross section of the channel delivering liquid fuel into the mixing chamber is equal to a number taken from the series of 4-300.
