FIELD: gas-plasma treatment of materials, possibly oxygen and erosion cutting of different materials, piercing holes and surface treatment in different branches of machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of gas-plasma treatment comprises steps of feeding combustible and oxidizer, mixing them one to another, burning fuel mixture at high pressure and forming from combustion products sonic high-temperature non-superwidened gas stream acting upon materials. Apparatus for performing the method includes mixer whose central body is arranged in its inner cavity and mouthpiece having combustion chamber and jet. Combustible and oxidizer are supplied to mixer for receiving fuel at mixing one with another and subsequently engaging with central body that in one variant of invention turns-on sparkplug. Central body serves for controlling thermodynamic parameters of fuel mixture ignited by sparkplug discharge and burned at high pressure for creating supersonic high-temperature gas stream acting upon material. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of gas-flame treatment of materials having different properties and thickness values due to lowered fuel consumption in time moment of igniting in the result of reduced starting period. 45 cl, 11 dwg
