FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: device has cutting head with housing and fuel and oxidizer supply passages. Housing is connected with tip which has combustion chamber inside it. Combustion chamber changes to nozzle. Housing has mixing chamber where cylindrical member is arranged axially. One end of this cylindrical member is secured in housing. Mixing chamber is connected with combustion chamber by means of outlet section having small passage area. Outlet hole of oxidizer supply passage is made in lateral wall of housing above the hole of fuel supply passage made in the same wall. Ratio of diameter of hole of passage supplying fuel to interior of mixing chamber to hydraulic diameter of passage area of mixing chamber interior at point where fuel is fed to it ranges from 0.03 to 0.5. Device is provided with spark plug fitted on cylindrical member. Interior of mixing chamber may have varying passage area. Device may be provided with gas-tight insert arranged in outlet section of mixing chamber. Cylindrical member may be provided with swirler arranged in mixing chamber and passage made in housing for feeding the oxidizer to top portion of mixing chamber. Cylindrical member may be mounted in mixing chamber for axial displacement and may be profiled in its lower end. Device may be also provided with cylindrical casing which is mounted stationary in chamber for receiving the profiled portion of cylindrical member. Device may be provided with separable casing with supply and discharge branch pipes forming chamber for coolant together with outer wall of tip. Separable casing may be provided with sprayer for feeding the coolant on the surface being machined. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 9 cl, 7 dwg
