FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining chemical kinetic capacity of neutrophils in peripheral blood taken from a patient, calculating neutrophil percentage for those possessing ameba-like cytoplasm bulging. If the number of modified neutrophils is less than 11% minimum activity is diagnosed, the value exceeding 11% moderate activity is diagnosed, the value being higher than 28% high activity of inflammatory process is diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis.
