FIELD: electronic devices. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing light sources with complex shape of illuminating area involves generation of electroluminescent layer over substrate in following steps. First, layer of luminophore is generated. Then current-conducting fibers, which are either adjacent or spaced by distance about luminophore grains, are applied over layer of luminophore. Fibers are pressed in and shielding coating is applied. Along one side, electrodes bulge over shielding coating in order to provide connection of light source to power supply. Light source with multiple elements is generated by application of luminophore to substrate in local areas, while electrodes are shared by all areas. Method of manufacturing maybe continuous. In this case it involves subsequent steps of generation of terminals and insulation of electrodes ends while mix of luminophore with dielectric binding is supplied independently. Electrodes and material for shielding coating are supplied during continuous movement along guiding lines which determine shape of illuminating area. Light sources with multiple elements are generated by recurrent repetitions of cycle for manufacturing light source. Shielding cover may contain organic and inorganic colors. Shielding cover as well as binding dielectric may be made from either fast composites or from thermoplastics, or from compounds which are polymerized under ultraviolet radiation.
