FIELD: plasma welding and cutting of metals. SUBSTANCE: plasmatron has electrode placed within casing through electrically insulating sleeve. Electrode has supply channel of electrode liquid cooling system. Supply channel is communicated with discharge cavity defined by casing inner surface and electrode outer surface. Plasmatron has second electrically insulating sleeve with water openings. Second sleeve is positioned in discharge cavity in spaced relation with respect to electrode and casing in contact with first sleeve. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliable ignition. 1 dwg
