FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves decomposition of ammonium sulfite-bisulfite solution with sulfuric acid followed by desorption of sulfur dioxide escaped. Decomposition process of highly dispersed parental reagents is carried out for 0.5-1.0 s (contact time) followed by reaction mixture heating up to 65-75 C and sulfur dioxide desorption with air. Method ensures to obtain 100%-th sulfur dioxide, content of sulfur dioxide in ammonium sulfate is decreased from 2.0 to 0.1% energy consumption is decreased by 2.5 fold. Method is used in chemical industry for gas scrubbing from SO2, in detergent, sulfanol, sodium hydrosulfite synthesis. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
