FIELD: sulfuric acid production. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with equipment for production of sulfuric acid from exhausted acids and other sulfur-containing wastes. Plant includes heat decomposition unit, first-step sulfur dioxide washing unit containing evaporation tower 1 and mist eliminator system 2, second-step sulfur dioxide washing unit III containing condensation (3) and blowing-off (4) towers, neutralizer 5, internal water circuit unit IV and drying-absorption unit V, contact-compression unit VI, and unit VII for sanitary purification of effluent gases with sulfite- sulfate lyes. According to invention, plant is provided with neutralizer 5 whose inlet is connected with condensate outlet in second-step washing unit and outlet is connected with inlet of internal water circuit unit, whereas cooling agent outlet of the latter is connected with sanitary effluent gas purification unit. Plant has no sulfate lye and acid water-circuit drains. EFFECT: increased reliability of plant and reduced sulfur dioxide content in effluent gases. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
