FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves growing fungus-producing cultural crop, fermenting it in nutrient medium to receive a cultural liquid and separating an end product therefrom. The cultural liquid or filtrate thereof is subjected to electrolysis before separation of the end product. Electrolysis is conducted in an electrolyzer with a separator or in an electrolyzer without a diaphragm at current density of 0,01-0,1 А/сm2 and specific electric power consumption of 0.017-0.24 A/l. The electrolyzer cathode and anode are made of stainless steel and oxidized ruthenium, respectively. EFFECT: higher purity and retained yield of end product. 4 cl, 2 tbl
