SUBSTANCE: steam is fed to the working chamber of the screw expansion machine wherein potential energy of the steam is directly converted into mechanical work and then into electric power. Moisture of the steam is maintained in the range of 0.6-0.1. The liquid, separating out in the screw expansion machine resulting from the stratification, serves for sealing spaces between the inner surface of the housing and rotors of the expansion machine.
