FIELD: heat power industry. SUBSTANCE: invention specifically refers to processes using working medium in gaseous phase to generate mechanical energy from heat of external source. Cold part of working medium is transferred to compression and its hot part which temperature and pressure increase in process of separation is subjected to cooling with transfer of acquired part of heat for heating of unseparated working medium and to expansion. Process of separation of working medium with subsequent transfer of cold part to compression, and of hot part to cooling and expansion is carried out many times till mass of working medium diminishes 6-10 times.
