FIELD: mechanics. SUBSTANCE: drive with flexible coupling has at least two wheels and endless flexible member engageable with them. Flexible member has longitudinal sections which form one-sided surface through twisting the flexible member. Twist angle is selected from definite relationship for forming one or several one-sided surfaces. At even number of longitudinal sections, flexible member is twisted by even number of pitches; in this case, at least two one-sided surfaces exist. Members of relative engagement may be provided on surfaces of longitudinal sections of flexible member and on working surfaces of wheels. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 8 dwg
