FIELD: operation of nickel-zinc cell. SUBSTANCE: device includes two electrolyte-tight vessels with flexible elements separating gas and electrolyte spaces. Gas spaces communicate to ambient air through controlled valves or to source of compressed air through other valves. Electrolyte spaces are connected to electrolyte space by means of electrolyte in cell. Control unit controls operation of valves. In process of charge electrolyte moves along surface of electrodes in two mutually opposite directions with frequency 0.5-5.0 Hz.
