FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: lifting drum of melon-and-gourd harvester has rim with spokes 1 and cross plates 2. Connected to plates is flexible strip 3 whose length between plates 2 exceeds pitch of plates 2, but is less than length of flexible strip 3. Intake chute 7 is arranged inside drum. Plates 2 are secured on rim, are cantilever mounted by means of axles and are coaxial with rim chords. Ends of plates 2 are spring-loaded to press the plates to soil surface in working zone.
