FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this extension nail apparatus incorporates distraction unit 1 including guide cleat 2 and slider 3 enabled to move along this guide cleat, both interconnected by threaded rod 4. Guide cleat 2 and slider 5 have slots 5 into which are fitted swiveling retainers 7 and secured in position by nuts 6. Protrusions of locking washers of these swiveling retainers are fitted into longitudinal grooves to prevent revolution thereof. Retainer 7 and washer 8 have interengaging teeth. Osteosynthesis nails 13 are secured by nuts in openings in swiveling retainers 7. Brackets in whose slots in the same manner are secured swiveling retainers and osteosynthesis nails are in the same fashion fixed to guide cleat 2 and slider 3 by swiveling retainers 7.
