FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics and aims at long bone lengthening. The intramedullary canal of a lengthened bone is opened to introduce an intramedullary nail which needs to be checked for free passage in the intramedullary canal. The intramedullary nail is removed from the bone, and closed corticotomy is performed in its metaepiphyseal zone. Along the intramedullary canal, the intramedullary nail is introduced into a distal portion of the bone. A proximal fragment of the bone is screwed. The bone fragments are fixed by introducing transosseous pins of a distraction apparatus. When ensuring the required lengthening, without removing the apparatus, the distal portion of the intramedullary nail is screwed. The distraction apparatus is removed. After a complete change of a regenerated bone in the distraction area, the intramedullary nail is removed. All the stages of the surgical procedure are optoelectronic-aided. The transosseous pins of a distraction apparatus are introduced at any angle required for fixation to a bone axis. The intramedullary nail, fixation rods and screws are made of biologically inert materials.
EFFECT: method enables complete functional load of an extremity immediately after the operation, shorter standing of the external lengthening structures, reduced postoperative complications and period of treatment.
