FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: polymerization of polypropylene is carried out in the presence of organoaluminium activator, solid catalyst being used. Said catalyst is prepared by interaction of trialkyl aluminium or dialkyl aluminium chloride with branched aliphatic alcohol or thio alcohol or alkoxy aluminium at molar ratio 0.6-4.0. Thus prepared product is then affected by heat treatment in the presence of titanium tetrachloride, atomic ratio aluminum and titanium being 0.2-1.0. Said heat treatment is carried out at temperature being gradually increased to 90-110 C. The process is followed by sustaining at said temperature, by separation and by washing of solid residue. Proposed catalyst also may be prepared by using complex of titanium tetrachloride and aliphatic ether being obtained in the presence of inert carrier.
