FIELD: composition steel production. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of charging particles or chips of low carbon steel and cast iron into a steel container with a size of a cross section no more, than 150 mm and with a thickness of its wall no more, than 2 mm; heating the charge up a temperature; providing melting of the cast iron; curing at that temperature at least over 15 min in order to impregnate a steel component of the charge by the cast iron; the impregnation had been over, quenching the charge in water; performing a stage of forging an ingot together with the container at temperature, being no higher, than 730 C. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical properties of steel, being produced. 1 cl, 2 dwg
