FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: tool has case with radial slot to receive wire with transversely cut sheath and cavity for that with its longitudinal cut. Knife is drawn out of tool through desired length of transverse cut and its pointed tip is automatically drawn out for longitudinal cutting. Wire is locked in position by spring-loaded hold-down device. U-shaped slit is made in case perpendicular to its side surface. Radial slot is made on one of parallel sides of slit and cavity is provided above its blind part. Mark is made on outer surface of case on at least one side of slit against exit of cutting edge of knife. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 4 dwg
