FIELD: communication engineering. SUBSTANCE: communication system built around light-emitting diodes with light source 1 formed, preferably, by means of laser on one end of light-emitting diode 3 is to be provided with light modulator 4 on its other end formed by one part of controlled optical directional coupler 6. Both strip lines of directional coupler 6 are covered with semi-transparent mirror 9; electrodes 12-17 are loaded into transmitted signal. Optoelectric transducer 10 is provided behind semi-transparent mirror 9 and loaded from both strip light conductors into transmitted signal. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 1 dwg
