FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: propeller has hub with swivel blades, hollow propeller shaft and rod with slide block which is kinematically linked with blades. Rod passing through hollow propeller shaft is linked with piston of hydraulic cylinder of pitch control mechanism located inside ship hull. Slide block rests against bush; it is fixed against turn relative to this bush; rod passed through this bush is engageable with its inner surface. Seal mounted between rod and bush separates chambers of propeller shaft and hub. Hub chamber is brought in communication with surrounding medium and is filled with water; that is why antifriction bearings in which blades are mounted are provided with cermet shells impregnated with fluoroplastic suspension, for example. Diameter of tail-piece and inner diameter of bush are equal to ensure stabilized volume of hub chamber during motion of rod. EFFECT: avoidance of leakage of oil into water and ecological cleanness of controllable-pitch propeller. 4 cl, 2 dwg
