FIELD: shipbuilding; supports of propeller shafts of ship shaftings. SUBSTANCE: sliding bearing has shell in which load-bearing laminated segments taking the load of shaft weight, and solid lubrication segments providing lubrication of load bearing laminated segments are made in form of separate alternating members. Layers of laminated load-bearing segments are oriented square to bearing axis. EFFECT: improved reliability of propeller shaft supports by excluding possibility of breakage of load-bearing laminated material of shells of propeller shaft bearings owing to changing orientation of laminated segment layers. 1 dwg
