FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel system has a source of a fuel connected with a nozzle having axial passageway for supplying fuel and discharging unit with central electrode and controlled by a control unit. The discharging unit is made up as a head insulated from the housing and base with a valve and discharging chamber coupled with the spraying opening and with the axial passageway through inclined passageways and valve. When the Diesel is in operation, fuel is fed from the source to the periphery zone of the discharging chamber through passageway 4 made in base, valve, and inclined passageways. The discharging chamber is filled with fuel. At a given moment, the control unit supplies a high voltage signal to the central electrode. As a result, an electric discharge occurs between the head and bottom part of the housing of the nozzle. In so doing, the fuel is heated and ionized resulting in sharp increasing of pressure inside the discharging chamber. Under the action of this pressure, the fuel is injected in the combustion chamber as a cone of vapor through the spraying openings. At the end of the injection period, in response to a signal from the control unit, a voltage is taken off at the central electrode. The working cycle is then repeated. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
