FIELD: by-product coke industry. SUBSTANCE: coke cooling apparatus has chamber with heat-absorbing members secured in vertical plane in vertical horizontal spaced rows, with heat-absorbing members being staggered in chamber in vertical plane. Apparatus allows cooling of coke to be conducted only by indirect heat-exchanger through walls of heat- absorbing members. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified control of hydraulic mode because only gas produced as a result of isothermal holding of coke is sucked out. 1 dwg
