FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: new strain Lactobacillus amylovoris БТ-24/88 is isolated from cecum of health piglet. Strain shows the broad spectrum of antagonistic activity against opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms that are resistant to extreme conditions of gastroenteric tract and antibiotics. Strain does not show pathogenicity, toxicity and toxic properties. Strain is deposited in All-Russian Collection of industrial microorganisms at N B-6253. Strain is used for producing new probiotic lactoamylovorin in liquid, paste-like and dry forms. Probiotic given to piglet with diet inhibits hemolytic bacteria and stimulates microorganisms hydrolyzing complex polysaccharides, increases enzymatic activity in intestine and nonspecific resistance of animals. Strain shows prophylaxis and curative actions at diarrhea diseases. EFFECT: increased safety and living mass gain, improved meat quality.
