FIELD: cryogenic engineering. SUBSTANCE: compressor units having oil coolers, filters and by-pass lines are set in operation. The gas is compressed, cleaned in filters and fed to a consumer. After starting at least one of the units, before supplying the gas to a consumer, it is cleaned with air through by-pass lines to provide an admissible additive concentration. The concentration is measured with pickups mounted downstream of the filters. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
