FIELD: measurement technology, evaluation of change of calibration characteristics of flowmeters of varying pressure differential without their dismantling from operating system. SUBSTANCE: two values of pressure differential are measured under steady-state condition of main flow which are correspondingly converted to linear output signals I1 and I2 of electric current. Portion of main flow is conducted away and value of flow rate of conducted away flow corresponding to difference of currents I1 and I2 is found, coefficient b equal to relation of value Q of flow rate to difference of currents is calculated by formula . Obtained value of coefficient b is compared with value of corresponding coefficient of calibration characteristic. Change of state narrowing device is judged by presence of discordance of coefficients and correction of calibration characteristic of flowmeter is executed by obtained value of coefficient b.
