FIELD: burning of liquid fuel. SUBSTANCE: burner has casing 1 incorporating catalytic nozzle 2, porous thermal insulator 8, tubular evaporator 3 mounted in vertical position within thermal insulator and provided with collector 5 formed as tubular branches with through vapor exit openings 6. Evaporator 3 has opening 9 made in its lower end and adapted for discharge of liquid fuel in the process of firing the burner. Burner may be provided with coil-shaped evaporator 3 with vapor exit openings 7 in upper surfaces and liquid fuel exit openings 8 in lower surfaces for discharge of liquid fuel in the process of firing the burner.
