FIELD: heating engine and cabin of car, greenhouses, tents, containers, etc. SUBSTANCE: catalytic burner has housing, catalytic head fitted at outlet and perforated sheet. Porous heat insulator is located in housing between its bottom and catalytic head; outlet end of fuel supply branch pipe is inserted in this insulator: perforated sheet made from fuel-tight material is placed between this end and catalytic head. Sheet made from fuel-tight material is placed between outlet end of branch pipe and bottom of housing to enhance efficiency of operation of burner on liquid fuel. Perforated sheet (or both sheets) has smooth, finned surface or surface of other profile. Outlet end of branch pipe is located inside housing vertically, horizontally or at angle relative to its walls; its end is open or blanked off; branch pipe has through hole (holes) in its wall. Device has been tested. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 3 dwg
