FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to pyrolytic production of ethylene and propylene and consists in introducing vaporized alkali metal hydroxide into medium stream upon heating. Hydroxide is used in the form of aqueous solution, which is heated until mixture of water steam and molten alkali metal hydroxide is obtained using indirect heat exchange with heated medium stream followed by vaporizing molten hydroxide in heated medium stream, which is accomplished by delivering the mixture onto surface of cowling mounted within this stream in position, where stream temperature is superior to melting point of hydroxide. Invention enabled removal of coke and inhibition of coke formation in tubular surfaces of any design , including those with dispenser-terminated connection pipe. EFFECT: simplified technical approach due to excluded use of independent water steam source, utilizing granules or capsules with inhibitor, and using sluice feeder. 4 cl, 6 dwg
